U can always use a decorative screen. Looks good and will serve purpose too. You can get one to match your decor also.

At discount stores you can buy plastic stackable shelves that are very inexpensive (around twelve dollars) and very easy to assemble. (Just place four long tubes in the holes of one shelf and then add the next shelf, etc).

They are about five or six feet high. You could get several of them and sort of ‘build a wall.”

If you desire privacy on one side or the other, just buy the $1. a yard material and make a ‘wall’ by using a glue gun to attach the material to one side or the other of the shelves.

    Enjoy your new home!

You can also give the illusion of divided rooms by using different area rugs.

You culd hang fabric panels from the ceiling for dividers that wouldn’t take up as much room on the floor.

you can visually divide a room by putting low bookcases between the dining table and the furniture in the living room area. area rugs also help to divide the pace. or making sure your furniture layout is in an L-shape with the back of the couch towards the dining table. then it visually sections an area off.

when picking colors use the 60-30-10 rule. 60% of one color, 30% of an accent color and 10% of another accent. accents are brought out in either paint or accessories.

browse through websites like hgtv.com or ikea to get easy ideas on decorating.
